Two new virtual programs are being offered to military families and veterans through Aurora Health Care, one group for service members and veterans, the other for their friends and family members while they are serving.

The Veteran Support group, open to those who have or are serving, deals with issues common to service members such as reintegrating into the civilian world, military identity, sleep, anger, work conflict and family problems. It meets from noon to 2 p.m. Mondays and 5:30 to 6:30 Thursdays via Zoom.

The Homefront Support group from noon to 1 p.m. Mondays is facilitated by mental health professionals with military experience. Topics will include difficulties of veterans transitioning, understanding military culture, communicating with veterans, barriers to receiving help, resources available and family problems.
