Rob Servais has been named the new chief executive officer of Lakeside Packaging Plus (LLP), with facilities in Oshkosh and Neenah, replacing Margaret Winn when she retires Feb. 10 on her 36th work anniversary.

Servais comes to Lakeside with leadership experience in the nonprofit world. He was most recently executive director at Green Valley Enterprise in Beaver Dam.

His primary responsibilities will be to advance the company’s mission, oversee all operations and programming and work within the legislative climate for all associates and their diverse abilities. In addition, Servais hopes to accomplish program growth and community awareness of the company’s programs.

“I’m drawn to the mission, the forward-thinking approach of the board of directors and leadership team, and the overall exceptional culture of the two facilities,” Servais said in a statement. “At LPP, it is clear the associates’ needs are top priority, and at the end of the day I want to lead an agency with this type of philosophy. I want to continue the rich history that LPP has experienced for years.”

Board president Tom Beck said, “The board and I were looking for someone with a heart and passion for our mission and the required management skills. Rob has all of this, along with many years of experience within the industry.”

Winn started in an entry-level position and worked her way up to the chief executive, a position she had held for the past nine years. Winn has been known in the industry for paving the way for individuals with disabilities.

“It has been a tremendous honor to serve as the CEO of LPP and work closely with the board of directors, my passionate employees, and the associates with diverse abilities along with their families. I will miss all of them,” she said. “During my retirement, I look forward to spending more time with my husband and family, getting back to reading some good books and doing volunteer work.”

Beck added, “We are happy that she has agreed to stay on to help with this transition and wish her a happy and healthy retirement.”

Lakeside Packaging is a nonprofit organization that hires mentally and physically limited adults to do hand pack work, with an adult services program and a senior group for retirement work. Its two facilities are at 100 W. Fernau Ave. in Oshkosh and 1040 Breezewood Lane in Neenah.
